And Mama Maple is so much more than a tea business.

 My herbal journey started in Tulsa, Oklahoma over 10 years ago when I began working with plants for natural dyeing. I soaked up all the knowledge I could while also creating beautiful works of art. I came to learn that in addition to providing vibrant colors many of the plants also had profound healing properties. I started exploring all of their capabilities. My journey deepened further when I moved to the foothills of the Appalachian mountains and met my now mentor, herbalist Amanda Nicole. Under her guidance I came to understand plants in a far richer, more multidimensional way. I focused on getting to know each plant, taking the time to build a relationship with them one by one. I learned how to listen and connect with them on a spiritual level. This experience was truly transformative and changed the way I interact with the world around me. Eventually I moved back to Tulsa before having my second child. I continued on my journey, supplementing my own personal experience, training and research with multiple certified courses. Here I began my work as an herbalist in service to my community. Along my way I discovered Reiki and was attuned. I fell in love with the intuitive nature of energetic healing and seeing the peace, balance, and insight that Reiki has offered myself as well as my clients. I gained several certifications over the years and utilize this practice in addition to my work as an herbalist to help individuals find healing and assist them on their path. 

It has taken me years to fully accept my calling as a healer. 

But here I am and I am so grateful to be of service to my community.
